And when he had taken the scroll… they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” (Re 5:7–10) Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.” (Re 6:1–17)

Read the scripture again, slowly, pausing to let the words sink deeply into your mind and heart.
Revelation 5:7-6:17 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. and… they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” (Re 5:7–10) Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.” (Re 6:1–17)
Ruminate on this Word. Jesus will take the scroll of inheritance and open the seals. He is God’s appointed ‘Kinsman Redeemer’, the One with the right to redeem and possess the earth. He will set in motion the events on earth leading to His takeover of the government of this world. Then we, His people, will reign on earth with Him, participating in His righteous, just rule, forever. The events leading to the final outcome will be tumultuous. But through them He will sovereignly work out His purpose: His just and perfect rule, established on earth, forever. No more death. No more suffering. No more evil. All that ends when Jesus consummates His Kingdom on earth. And that process begins when He takes the scroll and opens it.

Ask and listen for more of what He’s saying.
Linger quietly, patiently in His Presence.

As He speaks, yield fully to him. If you notice resistance, rebellion, defiance, or trepidation in your heart, repent of these things and yield your heart without reservation to Him. Ask for His help.
Entrust your past, present, and future to the Lord in light of what he has spoken.
Conclude your time at this well with thanksgiving and adoration.
