WELCOME!

This prayer walk is designed to be a fun interactive prayer guide for families with children.

Depending on the age of the children and how much time you have, you can break the prayer walk down and just complete 2 or 3 stations at a time in a way that suits your schedule. Each station has a special message, so the entire walk doesn't have to be completed to get the message.

There is a start station, a total of seven stations marked 1-7 and a finish station. Each station (including start and finish) has an activity box to find and an activity to complete. Depending on how many children there are, you can decide how many children get to find and complete an activity at each station. Depending on the age of the children, the activities may need the assistance of an adult. The prayer guide will lead you through each prayer station and each activity with an answer guide to each activity to help you along the way.

Jesus said to let the children come to Him. He blessed and prayed for the little children. Our desire is for the children to have an opportunity to come to Him, to learn His word and to learn how to use His word to pray.

Read Matthew 19:13-15

Then children were brought to Jesus so that He might place His hands on them [for a blessing] and pray; but the disciples reprimanded them.

But He said,

*“Leave the children alone, and do not forbid them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” After placing His hands on them [for a blessing], He went on from there. (*Matthew 19:13-15 AMP)

May this treasure hunt bless each child as they search for the hidden treasures in God's Word, and may they learn that prayer is a treasure God has given them to connect to Him and partner with Him in praying for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

How this Treasure Hunt Prayer Walk works:

• The prayer manual will guide you through the Walk from start to finish.
• There are 7 stations between start and finish.
• Each station is a quiet space with a bench to meditate on God's word and pray.
• The prayer guide will give the scripture focus and the prayer direction as you move from station to station.
• At the start, you will receive your first clue to find a treasure box that is hidden in close proximity around the bench in the plants.
• There will be a treasure box hidden at each prayer station.
• Each box will contain an activity that links to the prayer guide.
• Just follow the instructions as per the prayer guide.
• If you are unable to find the hidden box, there will be a 'reveal the treasure box location' tab that you can click on and it will show a picture of exactly where the box is hidden.
• Please put everything back as and where you found it so that it can be enjoyed by the next family doing the prayer walk.
• Please also inform reception if anything is missing or broken so we can make sure to fix it so this treasure hunt can be enjoyed by many families and children.
